About Me
Born and raised in South Sacramento, my brother, friends and I played most every sport growing up. While I loved most any sport with a ball, I was never good enough at any of them to pay the bills, so I got a day job as a police officer in Sacramento. I tried that for a few years (27 to be exact), until I retired and moved on to something else…all the while trying to new sports. I found that golf takes soooo long, cycling is a blast, but my generous backyard doesn’t look that great in spandex, and cornhole seems to be more drinking than playing (Although I am still contemplating that one). So a few years ago, I stumbled on Pickleball and got hooked. (The picture to the left is actually from a tournament in Nashville , where I was able to win a couple of events). Now I play most every day and throw in a tourney now and then. I was blessed with some nice folks that helped teach me the ropes, and now I would like to return the favor. I became certified as a PPR certified instructor in 2023, so if you want to hit a couple balls, have a laugh or two, and get in a little exercise, give me a ring.
